今回は先生がたに時間を作ってもらい
「英会話をはじめたばかりの生徒さまがよく間違えること」
について3つ挙げてもらったよ。
その１：否定文のつくりかたを簡素化しちゃう。
たとえば、
My son not eat vegetables.（誤）
「don't 」「doesn't 」などのかわりに「not」だけ使ちゃうパターンだね。
これを修正するには、「yes」「no」のだけじゃない返事をすることが大切なんだって。
Yes, I do.
No, I don’t.
Yes, he does.
No, he doesn’t.
こういう返事ができるようになれば、否定文を正しく作れるようになるそうです。
その２：形容詞「-ed」「-ing」の使い分け
たとえば
誤： I was exciting.
正： It was exciting.
先生たちによると、これは練習してなれていく必要があるそうだ。このふたつをざっくり区分けするなら、
自分のことを主語にするなら・・・「-ed」
物などを主語にするなら・・・「-ing」
となるそうです。※例外もあるけどね
正： It was exciting.
正： I was excited.
と、こんなかんじね。
その３：過去形のつくりかた
「私、～を忘れちゃった。」のような文章を話すときに
「I forgot ～（正）」 ではなくて
「I was forgot ～（誤）」 などになってしまうこと。
文章にはいろいろ（受動態とか）あるから、過去形で話すときに、「be動詞・一般動詞のどちらを過去形にすればいいんだろう？」みたいに思って、こんがらがっちゃうんだね。
Bossはこの中で２番目のが苦手だな。
「confusing」と「confused」
「boring」と「bored」
「exciting」と「excited」
みたいな使い分けのとき、どっちが正しいのか、言葉を発する前に考えちゃう。
